Small Pool Room, Two Cuts (repeat)
[Repeated from Wednesday 9pm.] Aleks Kolkowski presents highlights from his extensive personal collection of vintage sound effects on Shellac disc and wax-cylinder. Played live in the studio on antique analogue sound reproduction equipment they offer a rare chance to hear some of the earliest surviving examples of everyday sounds, captured for posterity by the pioneers of audio recording.
