Opera singer Richard Scott explores opera through the prism of various themes - politics, power, greed, the abominable, magic, lust, comedy. This week The Opera Hour examines the myth of Orpheus, how he has continued to fascinate and break hearts on the operatic stage for over 400 years. We'll be hearing music from Monteverdi, Gluck, Glass, Anais Mitchell and Nick Cave and we'll be joined in the studio by the counter-tenor Owen Willetts, who has sung the role of Orpheus in Boston, to sing excerpts from Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice.
