The Mews Radio Programme : Beatriz Albuquerque
The Mews Radio Programme - Seconde Episode: Beatriz Albuquerque
Title: "Sound Sculpture: A Poet in New York"
The Mews Radio Programme is a curatorial project started in October 2012.
It is curated by Manuela São Simão and it aims to present different possibilities
of work for Radio.
The project's first episode was transmitted by the Portuguese web-based
Radio Zero (Lisbon), by the British Resonance 104.4fm (London) and Mobile Radio
at the Bienal de São Paulo.
The Mews Radio Programme first episode presented a piece by the German
sound and media artist Christoph Korn. His work was the first of a series
inspired by the theme of silence.
The second episode, by Beatriz Albuquerque, was presented at The Mews
Common Room on 8th December as a sound installation and broadcasted on 9th December on Mobile Radio at Sao Paulo Bienal.

Adventures in Modern Music
The Wire team had so much fun with last year’s ethnographic music special Music From The Lost Worlds (20 October 2011) that they've decided to do it all again. This special edition of Adventures In Sound And Music returns to the record collection of writer, musician and Wire contributor David Toop, who will join Derek Walmsley in the studio to play selections from this formidable ethnographic archive, and to talk about these lost sounds and their place in the modern world.
