Send it to Pull the Plug, Resonance 104.4FM, 144 Borough High Street London SE1 1LB or email to pulltheplugseven@gmail.com. I might even listen to it.

Talking Africa this week discusses the continued seizure of Northern Mali by Islamists early this year. Exploring the view that the 'root' causes of the problem are long held feelings of dissatisfaction within Malian society about the gradual, but marked 'modernisation' of their Islamist way of life. Several events such as the coup d' etat in 1991, the guaranteeing of freedom of expression in 1992, the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the US and the coup d' etat in March 2012 simply served to 'action' this dissatisfaction, then largely confined to grumbling within the wider Malian society. Guest on the programme is the West African Project Director of the International Crisis Group, Gilles Olakunle' Yabi. Programme host is Sonny Decker.
